The shapes of this iconic structure really spoke to me. The elegant adobe pillars, palm tree beams, petite windows, and ostrich egg-topped minarets left me spellbound and formed the foundation for this collection’s design.
Every Monday is market day at la Grande Mosquée. Hundreds of vendors, shoppers, sellers, herders, and artisans transform the area outside the gates of the mosque into a colorful, lively market.
